John brings 15 years of leadership in diverse areas, including venture capital, finance and operations.
John's primary experience was at Blumberg Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in
innovative technologies. Most recently John led Initiative Ventures in Minnesota where he worked with the
University of Minnesota-Hormel Institute and Mayo Medical Ventures. John has worked with several successful
start-up companies in obtaining financing and in their growth efforts.
John is a Minnesota native and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Kin-Joe has worked extensively in the high-tech field, primarily in the medical device field for over seven years.
He is the creator of OrthoCor's unique PRT therapy technology, which combines PEMF and thermal technologies. As Vice President of
Research & Development, he led the effort to develop products with this breakthrough technology. Prior to
joining OrthoCor, Kin-Joe was an executive for VETTA, a leader in the cycling fitness industry. There he oversaw
all US operations, including marketing, sales, distribution and product planning. Kin-Joe began at Guidant
Corporation (acquired by Boston Scientific in 2006) as a Design Engineer.
Kin-Joe holds bachelors and masters degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and president level experience with
publicly held and private venture-backed medical device companies.
From 2003 to 2008, Mike was President and CEO of Anulex Technologies, Inc., a private company focused on
developing proprietary technologies to support the healing of spinal soft tissues. Prior to this, Mike was
President of Centerpulse Spine-Tech, a publicly traded full-line supplier of innovative spinal technologies. Mike
was involved in the successful sale of Centerpulse Spine-Tech to Zimmer in the fall of 2003.
Mike is the President and CEO of Osprey Medical and a member of the Board of Directors of Formae, Inc.
Wesley Schultz was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Director of Rural Cellular
Corporation, (RCC) headquartered in Alexandria, Minnesota prior to its sale to Verizon Wireless in 2008. Wesley
has thirty years of diversified experience in finance, accounting, administrative and human resources management.
Wesley also has extensive experience with business mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and financing,
divestitures, start-up ventures and company expansions. He previously has held CFO and management positions in
several Minnesota-based, high technology companies including Spanlink Communications, Inc. (SPLK), Serving
Software, Inc. (SSI) and National Computer Systems, Inc. (NLCS).
Wesley is a CPA and has been an auditor with Touche Ross & Company. He graduated summa cum laude from the
University of North Dakota with a BSBA in Accounting and has professional affiliations with the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Wesley also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of AbbeyMoore Medical.

Dr. Dahl received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School in 1980. He joined St. Croix Orthopaedics in 2004, after 19 years in practice in Minneapolis and St. Paul, performing specialized deformity correction surgery, as well as state-of the-art knee and hip replacement surgery at Woodwinds Health Campus, Lakeview Hospital, and Gillette Children's Specialty Health Care. Dr. Dahl travels to third world countries, performing deformity correction surgery on children and adults, and sharing his knowledge with surgeons in these areas.
Dr. Joy is a Family Medicine and Sports Medicine physician at the University of Utah, where she serves as one of the team physicians and directs the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program. In addition, she directs the University of Utah's practice-based research network, the Utah Health Research Network, as well as the multidisciplinary Utah Sports Research Network. She completed a Family Medicine Residency and Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She completed her Master's degree in Public Health at the University of Utah.
Dr. Joy has served on the Board of Trustees for the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and held 2 terms of office on the Board of Trustees for the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. She is on the Editorial Board for The Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, and is a Section Editor for Current Sports Medicine Reports. She serves on the Exercise Is Medicine Task force for the ACSM, and the American Heart Association's Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism Committee. She has authored many journal articles and textbook chapters on a wide variety of topics in sports medicine. Her research interests lie in the areas of physical activity assessment and promotion, practice-based research in primary care, the Female Athlete Triad, exercise during pregnancy, and injury prevention.
Dr. Macintyre received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Western Ontario in 1978. He completed a two-year Fellowship in primary care sports medicine, and his Masters of Physical Education in exercise physiology and sports science at the University of British Columbia. He has served as a team physician for professional basketball, soccer, and hockey teams as well as Olympic and world championship teams during his career.
Dr. Macintyre has a special interest in overuse/overtraining injuries and tendon disorders of the upper and lower extremities, including throwing, dance and running injuries. He offers Extra Corporeal Shock Wave Therapy, the latest in treatment of tendon disorders.
Dr. Barnes is a consultant and instructor with the department of family medicine and musculoskeletal clinic at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He specializes in total care of physically active people. He is a family physician with certified added qualifications (CAQ) in primary care sports medicine and is the team physician for all teams at Rochester Community Technical College and for the Rochester Giants, a U.S. semiprofessional football team.
Dr. Barnes has lectured on diabetes, nutrition, and athletics on behalf of the Mayo Clinic and was on the medical staff for the 25th Ironman Triathlon World Championship in 2003. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Performing Arts Medicine Association.
