CMS announced the transition of diagnostic and procedural codes from the ICD 9 to the ICD 10 system.
In an effort to improve the medical classification system, the ICD-10 will add on an additional 54,000 codes to allow accurate diagnosis for patients.
Providers, billers, and payers are all required to comply with the new changes, as of October 1st 2015.
To ensure that there are no delays with processing our patient’s prescriptions, we have updated our Physician Written Order Guide to reflect the new ICD-10 coding.
We encourage patients and doctors to download the latest guide here.
